John Murphy – Managing Director, Pivotal

John has spent the past twenty years developing a career in delivering exceptional customer experience through operational excellence, with fifteen of these spent within the automotive industry. Following the completion of a BA in Automotive Retail Management, he has gathered an extensive portfolio of automotive retail expertise, with development across franchises in both premium and luxury retail brands.

John’s professional career has been greatly subsidised by his ambition for adventure, which he has asserted by completing several personal challenges: the Berlin marathon, summiting Mont-Blanc, and the Matterhorn being his latest accomplishments.

A motivation for new challenges, projects, experiences and a desire to disrupt the status quo is what maintains John’s fresh approach to business and operational productivity.

In November 2020, John left a successful 6-year period at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars to pursue a new challenge as Sales Director with Pivotal, where he is now Managing Director. He has been instrumental in developing the operations of the pivotal business and continues to steer the business to the success it has seen to date.
